對全國受訓醫師制定規則的美國畢業後醫學教育評鑑委員會（Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, ACGME）對受訓醫師制定了一套每班工時上限24小時及每週上限80小時的規定。過去每班36小時及每週100小時的工時規定消逝了，而他們也希望：隨之而來的危險疏失也同樣消逝。

認定

	法律上指未證明事實的真相，推定為或然者，稱為「認定」。
