holiness ：聖；神聖；聖德： (1) 指全能天主的無限美善。 (2) 指人領受的天主恩寵或為愛天主而作之奉獻。 (3) 教會四特徵之一，稱為至聖，其他三特徵為：至一、至公、從宗徒傳下來的。 (4) 對教宗的尊稱。

chalice ： (1) 聖爵：行祭使用的聖爵，裏面的葡萄酒經祝聖後成為基督的血。 (2) 苦爵：象徵耶穌的苦難（瑪廿六 42 ；若十八 11 ）。拉丁文稱作 calix 。

benediction ： (1) 祝福；祝聖；祝禱；感謝：通常聖職人員以手畫十字為人或物祈求天主降福之儀式。 (2) 降福：指聖體降福。
