Executioners 是雙關語：翻譯成"自願為希特勒執行命令的人"沒錯，不過原文還有"死刑執行人"的意思。

有關Goldhagen 著的 Hitler's Willing Executioners 書名的翻譯，的確，executioner 有「執行死刑者」之意，但因考慮到該書討論的內容更為廣泛，比較是對猶太人全面性的迫害而言（不是所有人都被處以死刑，有些人是驅逐、有些是送進奴工營...），所以我沒有採用「執行死刑者」之意，而選擇從廣義面來翻譯。
