句法A as S (的as) 如何翻譯/消解之？

以我的觀點， the Image as Memory, the Image as Theatre,
意思為「以影像(表達)記憶，以影像(表達、作為)劇場(演一齣戲)」，
但是標題不宜過為冗長，所以「影像為記憶，影像為劇場」，「為」字兼有「作為」、「是」、「當為、視同」的意義。

譯者自己都沒有統一

我覺得依情況制宜比較好

如「以影像呈現『不在者』」「以影像表達哲思」「以影像憶往」「以影像搬演戲劇」之類

張華：

書名、章節名無法就字面猜測，往往是譯完全書(章)後再回過頭決定。例如Image as absence便很可疑。

用大陸的硬性套用法，as直接譯為「作為」便可。

以Joan Mitchell: the Image as Absence一章為例，談的是她的畫作，她出版的畫集名為the presence of absence，可能便是該章"the Image as Absence"的出處。
