比較3譯本： Love's Labour's Lost in Doctor Faustus

有些時候，同一句英文在不同的譯家之下，可承現截然的面貌，這在莎士比亞作品可能不少。

• 托瑪斯．曼《浮士德博士》Doktor Faustus 彭淮棟譯 2015 (托瑪斯．曼《浮士德博士》Doktor Faustus 彭淮棟譯 2015)頁223，

My lady goes to kill horns ; but, if thou marry, Hang me by the neck, if horns that year miscarry.注322 Finely put on ! 

彭先生的注322採用梁實秋先生的譯本："但是，妳如果結婚，這一年(鹿)角豐收鐵定驚人。".....劇中人諷刺婚姻之語；"角"即是中文"綠巾"。

朱譯

鮑益	公主拿弓是要害鹿；你若一旦結了婚，准得害得你的丈夫戴上几打綠頭巾。這可叫你開竅了！

方平翻譯： 好小姐，你最愛去追射那頭上有角的了。
                     倘若你嫁了人，卻偏是那少不了的鹿角
                     成為鳳毛麟角了，你把我吊死吧！ (p.76)

Love's Labour's Lost and Doctor Faustus

Thomas Mann in his novel Doctor Faustus (1947) ：全書事涉 Love's Labour's Lost之處，有p.8，191，194，201，232，254-255，301，309，359。
